What does the workshop entail?

During the workshop Flitz-Events is all about do it yourself under professional guidance. We start with a warm welcome at your chosen location. Our professional bartender (or rather: cocktail coach) introduces himself and takes you into the world of mixology.

In a short introduction you will learn about the basic techniques: from the shake (shake) and stirren (stirring) to the correct use of bar equipment such as the shaker, bar measure and strainer. Did you know, for example, that the origin of the cocktail goes back to the 19th century and that every classic cocktail has its own story? You will hear fun facts while the atmosphere is already getting in.

Then it's time to get down to work! Everyone gets a workstation with all the supplies: shakers, measuring cups, fresh ingredients, colorful liqueurs, fruit juices, garnishes, and ice. Under the guidance of the bartender, you'll step by step how to make three cocktails. We often start with a well-known classic to get the hang of it – for example, a fresh Mojito with mint and lime or a tropical Piña Colada.

Then you try a slightly more challenging mix, where you can already be more creative. Finally, there is room for your own twist: experiment with flavors and create your own own signature cocktail! In between, we will of course taste everything that is made. You can also sip each other's cocktails to get ideas (and just because it's nice to share). The bartender walks around, gives tips, corrects where necessary and also teaches you the presentation: how do you garnish nicely and pour like a real pro? For those who prefer not to use alcohol, we provide tasty alternative ingredients, so that your mocktail is just as colorful and delicious.

While making the cocktails, a relaxed, festive atmosphere quickly arises. Music in the background? That is also possible, for extra ambiance. We often notice that people spontaneously start singing during the workshop. in teams work together or have small competitions ("who makes the most beautiful cocktail?").
